Climate-KIC Matchmaker Workshop: “Connecting cities and investors for climate action”

20 June 2016

A full day workshop will be hosted in Bonn, as a pre-event to the 7th Global Forum on Urban Resilience and Adaptation. This is organized as part of the Climate-KIC’s LoCaL program, the EU’s main climate innovation initiative that provides a platform to accelerate public-private innovation partnerships focused on climate mitigation and adaptation. The Climate-KIC Matchmaker partners, CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) and ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI), together with the South Pole Group and the Gold Standard Foundation, warmly invite participants to explore the “matchmaker” service, designed to connect institutional investors and sub-national, national and international public finance institutions to transformative urban climate mitigation projects; and to participate in the afternoon in-depth discussion between investors and local government representatives to outline mutual priorities.

For more information on the events, including a list of recommended reading to prepare for the workshop, visit the dedicated page here.
