Registration for Resilient Cities 2015 is now open!

All cities, public and private sector representatives, academics, researchers, practitioners and anyone with a genuine interest in the topic of urban resilience and adaptation to climate change are invited to attend the congress. Plan your participation in advance and profit from our discounted early-bird fees, available until: 1 April 2015

If you submitted a proposal in response to our public call for contributions last year, please wait for confirmation of acceptance to register, since speakers are entitled to reduced fees. The outcome of your submission will be communicated within the next few weeks.

"Building resilience to heat-related health risks: The example of Ahmedabad", our fifth and final webinar of the series, was concluded yesterday, 3 February 2015. 

The webinar discussed Ahmedabad's strategy and measures to counteract the threat of extreme heat on public health. Best practices for the planning, implementation and scaling up of this approach were shared and thoroughly examined. A lively and engaging Q&A session followed the two presentations by Ms. Anjali Jaiswal and Dr. Tejas Shah.

The first edition of the Resilient Cities Asia-Pacific congress series is taking place in Bangkok, one of the most cosmopolitan cities of Asia on the 11-13 February 2015.

This will be the first ever Asia-Pacific forum on urban resilience and adaptation to climate change is anticipated to attract over 200 participants from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond, including mayors, local government representatives, UN agencies, researchers and private sector partners. The event will offer a variety of innovative solutions specifically designed for Asian cities and help local governments mainstream these solutions into policy and practice.
