Frequently asked questions

1. How can I register?

Visit our registration page for more information about the fees and registration process. Both speakers and participants must register through our online system in order to attend the congress. We recommend potential speakers to register only after receiving notification from the congress team regarding their submission (February 2014) as accepted contributors are entitled to a reduced registration fee (speakers’ fee).

2. Is there any funding available for congress speakers/participants?

Depending on the final congress budget, we might be able to assist a limited number of accepted speakers/participants and cover their attendance costs. Should you wish to apply for funding please fill out the funding request form and send it to us at resilient.cities(at) Please note that the priority to receive funding will be given to speakers and representatives of Local Governments from developing countries, as the Resilient Cities congress has cities and municipalities as a core target group.

3. Will translation be provided at the congress?

All speakers are asked to present in English, which is the official language of the congress. While we will not have synchronized translation available at the event, arrangements for non-English speaking participants planning to attend can be made on an individual basis and/or in the case of a significant number of requests. Contact us at resilient.cities(at) for more information.

4. Will the congress be broadcasted live?

The event will not be broadcasted online. However, all updates will be covered in our live blog and twitter feeds that will feature the discussions and interactions of the 3 days of the congress. In addition our media partners will be filming and recording key discussions and interviews at the congress.
