Contributions for ICLEI's 2015 Resilient Cities Congress can now be submitted!

Proposals will be accepted for presentations, panels, workshops, trainings, posters, Reality Check Workshops, co-events, and alternative formats. The call for contributions will remain open until the deadline of 1 December 2014.

The Resilient Cities 2014 congress report summarizes the core discussions and outcomes of the congress, and provides suggestions, lessons learned, and solutions for various aspects of urban resilience and adaptation planning. It also features numerous case studies from cities around the world, and offers current, actionable advice for local governments to create more resilient cities. Download the full report here

Proceedings of the Resilient Cities 2014 congress are now online!

The congress proceedings of Resilient Cities 2014 are now available online and can be accessed here.

These academics papers are written by expert speakers at the congress. The congress contributions were chosen during a thorough selection process out of over 180 contributions from experts and practitioners worldwide. The authors are renowned experts in their respective fields. Those who wished to do so could publish an article with us online, of which this section of our website is the result.

New video on ICLEI's AsianCitiesAdapt project launched at Resilient Cities 2014

The video ‘Knowledge and Adaptation - Climate Change Impacts in Asian Cities and Ways to Adapt’ was launched on Friday, 30 May 2014 at the Resilient Cities congress.

The video was produced in the context of the ICLEI-led AsianCitiesAdapt project (www.asian-cities-adapt.org) which brought together science and policy in order to identify the impacts of climate change and develop local adaptation strategies in eight cities in India and the Philippines. 

Get to know what local officials and other stakeholders in India and the Philippines think and do about climate change impacts in their locations.
