New regional forum to discuss resilience in the Asia-Pacific

Resilient Cities Asia-Pacific 2015 is organizing the First Asia-Pacific Forum on Urban Resilience and Adaptation on 11-13 February in Bangkok, Thailand.

This first regional forum on resilience and adaptation to climate change is anticipated to attract over 200 participants from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond, including mayors, local government representatives, UN agencies, researchers and private sector partners. The event will offer a variety of innovative solutions specifically designed for Asian cities and help local governments mainstream these solutions into policy and practice. In addition, the creation of an Asia-Pacific Mayors’ Council on Climate Change as a regional advocacy movement of local governments and opportunities for partnerships between local governments, donor communities and the private sector will be discussed and explored at the Forum.
